Welcome

This exhibition was conceived in 2009 as a response to a request to mount a faculty exhibition to showcase the work being produced by the faculty of the Painting Department at the Savannah Campus of the Savannah College of Art and Design. The resulting exhibition includes full time faculty, part time faculty, and visiting artists who were involved with the department during the 2008/2009 academic year.

Rather than schedule a show at a local gallery it was suggested that we attempt to find an international venue. The resulting schedule is more then we could have hoped for. This exhibition would not have happened were it not for the work of Blazo Kovacevic. His drive and determination has given us this remarkable opportunity.

All works to be brought to Alexander Hall by this date.


March 7 - 12 (Completed)
Work rolled and packed by each participant.
Once rolled the work will be assembled into one container, ready to ship by March 15!

March 12 - 27 (Completed)
Work photographed and shipped. Images adjusted and brochure design process started.


April (completed)
Artwork in transit. Essays for the catalogue being written (completed).


May - June
Artwork reached destination safely. Brochure design finished (completed) and submitted to the printshop (completed). Stretching and framing of the artwork (completed). Brochure printing (completed). Hanging of the artwork (completed)!

June 18 - opening of the exhibition in Podgorica, in Petrovic Castle, reception in 8PM (completed)! Gallery talk July 30 (completed). July 10 show closing.

July 16 - opening of the exhibition in Modern Gallery Budva. Opening reception at 9PM with short introduction by Jovana Stokic!

July 19 - drawing show in Velimir Lekovic Gallery Cultural Center Bar.

August 8 - opening of the exhibition in Kod Homena Gallery in Kotor

August 12 - opening of the exhibition in Josip Bepo Benkovic Gallery in Herceg-Novi

September 1- Belgrade show in two spaces: O3ONE project (for 14 days) and National Gallery (full month)

October 5-7 - Novi Sad, Museum of Contemporary Art Vojvodina
